What is the TAFSIG Piloting Network?
The BALEAP TAFSIG Piloting Network connects EAP practitioners across institutions. It is a free resource open to all EAP practitioners who would like to connect with colleagues in other institutions to help develop their assessments. The aim of this growing network is to build community within the EAP assessment field through collaboration, sharing and developing expertise.
What does the network do?
Piloting, pre-testing and/or trialling tests are key stages of the test development cycle but finding suitable test takers for this can be a challenge. The network brings test developers together to offer reciprocal help in sourcing appropriate groups to pilot language tests. Piloting in the broader sense can also involve discussing ideas for assessment methods with colleagues in other institutions, asking colleagues in other institutions to review test instructions, items or tasks or analysing the results of a test with colleagues in other institutions. You can find out more about how the network operates and how you can be involved by clicking the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS button below.
To join, please complete the registration form by clicking JOIN THE NETWORK button at the bottom of the page. This form will gather details from participants regarding, for example, contact details and your requirements. We will add your details to a central database, which we will then give you access to.
