TAFSIG Coffee Club:
Synchronous and asynchronous online testing for EAP
In this TAFSIG Coffee Club, we would like to discuss what the current place of online testing is in the world of EAP. During the height of COVID-19, we were on a steep learning curve when it came to delivering online. I'm sure that all of us have both positive and negative experiences to share.
This session will be to discuss any pitfalls or success stories when it comes to testing Speaking, Writing and receptive skills online, either synchronously or asynchronously. The session will allow participants to discuss 3 different topics, each in breakout rooms of 4-5 people for 10 minutes each time. The questions we will be considering are here:

Please answer any questions or leave comments on the survey to assist us in framing the discussion. Before each breakout room discussion, there will be a brief main room contextualisation, and each discussion will be followed up with feedback from the groups and a follow up video "Coffee to go" will be made to share good practice. This way, people can engage even if they are unable to attend.
